The construction utilizes strong mortise and tenon joinery in combination with skilled wood steaming to create tightly fitting parts. The built-in Hide-Away Butterfly Extension Leaf allows the table length to be adjusted to either 48 inches or 72 inches. When extended, a 1-7/8 inch umbrella hole becomes accessible, complete with a brass grommet and cap. Additionally, the lower pole catch enhances the stability of the umbrella pole. The natural oils and rubbers present in teak offer superior weather and insect resistance compared to other types of wood.
